Growing up in Hawaii creates a love for food that is as ubiquitous as a lei greeting when you arrive in the Islands. I was always fascinated with the variety of cuisines, ingredients and the creativity of the Chefs specializing in Pacific Rim cuisine. My grandmother still recalls the Mother's day brunch I prepared when I was about 10 years old- oven baked French Toast stuffed with marmalade, crisp bacon, Portuguese sausage and a Papaya-Mango salad with a 'secret' dressing. I think that was the day I knew I would someday be a Chef.
| My younger brother, Cory, had tried for years to convince me not to go into the restaurant business. He said I would hate the hours and taking orders from Uber Chefs with inflated egos. So, my dilemma was how to turn my passion for creating delicious meals into a business.
Cobrella Cooks was born in 2003 after I began doing home delivery of nutritious meals for my fitness clients. Inquiries about how others could have their own Personal Chef that would deliver fresh, flavorful meals to their homes in Los Angeles began to pour in. I put on my Chef's whites, turned on the burners and have been cooking ever since. |

I take pride in the fact that these meals are not mass produced. All menus are created for the client based on their unique likes, dislikes and dietary needs (if applicable). Meals are delivered twice a week. The food is FRESH, prepared with organic ingredients (whenever available), no preservatives and the meals are not intended to be frozen. Each meal is in a microwaveable container with heating directions. A menu is included that instructs the client what order the food should be eaten to assure optimum freshness. The menu also details the calories, saturated fat, net carbs and protein information for each meal.
